The new laboratory building will be constructed inside a preexisting building and expanded by a new building directly attached to it. The existing reinforced concrete girder trusses are being retained. In order to achieve the required ceiling stiffness for the sensitive laboratory instruments, ceilings are designed as slabs with composite beam.
