school bridge Knittelfeld "the missing link" – lifting of the bridge sections
28.10.2023. The steel truss bridge was pre-assembled in three sections at the factory, including the floor and ceiling structure, and transported to the building site. The majority of the glass facade and the rest of the roof structure were then assembled at the final assembly site. The outer sections were each lifted onto the prepared supports and the bridge pillar using a mobile crane. The bridge was then completed by the middle section, which was lifted into its final position by a tandem lift.
Red Cross State Headquarters – groundbreaking ceremony
25.10.2023. The ground-breaking ceremony for the Styrian Red Cross provincial headquarters was held at the construction site between Herrgottwiesgasse and Puchstraße. The new building will unite the State Headquarters, the Control Centre, the Education and Operations Centre, the Nursing Service, the Red Cross Youth Service, the Blood Donor Service and the Social Services at one central location on 7 floors and about 12,000 square metres. A 700 square metre photovoltaic system will support the energy supply. Completion of the 45-million-euro headquarters with up to 500 workplaces is planned for autumn 2025.
Public swimming pool at the Riverside Park Amstetten – topping out ceremony
04.10.2023. To celebrate the completion of the shell construction work at the public swimming pool at the riverside park, the municipality Amstetten held a topping out ceremony. The remaining final construction work is moving ahead rapidly. The reopening of the new public bath is planned for summer 2024. to the project
school bridge Knittelfeld „the missing link“ – mounting of the bridge pillar
28.09.2023. The prefabricated concrete pillar for the new pedestrian bridge between the Kärntnervolksschule and the Gymnasium Knittelfeld was lifted into the prepared foundation. The joint with the cast in place foundation was realised with a grout.
Anton Paar – Technical Center– Skybridge
04.09.2023. The pre-assembled skybridge was hoisted and mounted into its final position between the new and existing buildings.
Wohnbau Spitzer-Holding – construction progress
03.08.2023. Construction of the Spitzer Residential Complex has already progressed up to the ceiling spanning over the 3rd floor. The formworks and reinforcement works for other parts of the construction are currently being carried out.
MedCampus Graz – Inauguration
12.05.2023. With a ceremonial act, the campus of the Medical University of Graz was officially opened by Federal President Van der Bellen, former Federal Minister Elisabeth Gehrer, Minister of Science Martin Polaschek, Governor Christoph Drexler and Rector Hellmut Samonigg about 13 years after the start of construction.
The new campus offers a useable space of approximately 42,000 square meters, divided into the sections Module 1, Module 2, the assembly hall, and the anatomy. 14,000 square meters of research space and further 10,000 square meters of learning spaces offer state-of-the-art infrastructure for up to 5,000 students and a total of 2,500 employees.
Among other things, the buildings house 7 lecture halls and around 60 seminar and practice rooms as well as extensive laboratory facilities, an assembly hall and a refectory.

Brandhofgasse 21/KUG – Opening
21.10.2022. Graz University of the Arts: The building at Brandhofgasse 21 was officially opened by Minister of Science Polaschek, Rector Georg Schulz (KUG) and Hans-Peter Weiss (BIG) after two years of renovation and extension. Thus, students and teachers have an additional 1750 m² at their disposal. In addition to new individual classrooms, there are further ensemble and seminar rooms on the upper and lower floors, as well as the new auditorium and canteen on the ground floor.

After a long break – finally back on the road… We visited two of our construction sites: the expansion of the crematorium in Vienna and the Passarel-la-footbridge in Maria Gugging, which will soon be officially opened. The program ended with a visit to the Buschenschank Brunner in Ilz, where our extensive program ended with homemade specialties from the Vulkanland.

03.05.2022. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Technology Center took place at Anton Paar, world market leader in measurement technology. Offices, meeting rooms and laboratories are planned on a total of seven levels On the ground floor, a large multi-purpose room offers opportunities for conferences and events. The planned completion of the new technology center with up to 1000 jobs is 2023.

Donauwell – Extension
04.04.2022. DONAUWELL Wellpappe Verpackungsgesellschaft m.b.H. in Naarn in Marchland expands its production site. An additional warehouse with an area of approx. 6000m² and a high-bay warehouse with an area of approx. 2800m² and a height of 25m will be built.
Car Wash Park-Knittelfeld – Start of construction
01.04.2022. A new car wash park with 4 self-service wash bays and 4 self-service vacuum areas is being built on Kärntnerstrasse in Knittelfeld. Completion is scheduled for May.
Bridge over the Fenekgraben
25.03.2022. The bridge over the Fenekgraben on the Unterwart bypass was completed at the end of last year as part of the flood protection construction work.

WA Primelweg – Construction Progress
13.01.2022. A residential building with 26 high-quality residential units and an underground car park is being built on Primelweg in Graz-Straßgang. The shell of the cellar and underground car park has already been completed.
WA-Kalsdorf-Dr.-Blumauerstraße – Start Phase 2
The ÖWG is building a residential building with subsidized rental apartments and an underground car park on Dr.-Blumauer-Straße in Kalsdorf. Construction phase 2 started at the end of last year.
