The extension to the crematorium borders the historical building to the north and consists of two full above-ground floors and a reduced mezzanine. The cold room, the coffin logistics and the oven room are located on the ground floor. The upper floor is divided into the entrance area and the farewell hall.
As the main roof structure above the farewell hall, a reinforced concrete folded structure was erected that spans approx. 21.0 m. The outer walls were made of lightweight concrete. The thickness has been optimized with regard to the structural and structural requirements.
