VENTREX Automotive GmbH in Graz is constructing a new office and operational building as an addition to the existing factory building.
The extension is designed as a two-storey, partially basement building. The ground plan dimensions of the main component are approx. 45.7 x 16.5 m. The maximum building height above ground is approx. 11.1 m. The existing building is connected via two single-storey, non-basement components. The building is mostly made of reinforced concrete, with hollow floorboards being used in the area of the large spans for the ceilings above the ground floor. The roof construction on the first floor is characterized by a cross-laminated timber ceiling, which rests on long-stretched saddle roof trusses made of glue-laminated timber.
